

The brief was for each structure to be pre-fabricated and easily transported to remote locations. They also needed to adhere to the size limitations for huts and bothy structures.
The challenges of these structure are the very things that allow us to maintain the historical and cultural importance of our relationship with the wild lands around us.




There are only three rules. [1] leave no trace, [2] don’t pin the location on social media, [3] don’t record the soundscapes; not to achieve an exclusivity, but to achieve a respect for the environments these structures sit within and reference.


Soundscapes blend two very human pursuits of music and nature; for self preservation, whether used as a detox or a ritual. Preventative health is becoming a norm and these installations offer more than tech companies often can; memories. This isn’t anti tech; it’s anti-disconnection.
